Balaba Godfrey is a bright 6-year-old boy living in Bukabaale village with his two sisters—Patricia (11) and Angel (9)—and their 4-year-old half-sister, Evelyn. After the tragic loss of their father, life became incredibly difficult for their mother, who remained with hope for a better future for her children. Sadly, the man she remarried—now their stepfather—already had more than 12 children of his own, stretching the family’s resources to the limit.
Their paternal relatives refused to take responsibility for the children, offering only a piece of land for burial purposes, but no support for their well-being. For years, the family lived in hardship and uncertainty.
Hope came when Foundation Christian Schools, with support from Five Loaves and Two Fish Foundation Ministries, stepped in to offer the children access to education. Today, thanks to this support, Godfrey and his siblings are back in school, smiling again, and dreaming of a brighter future.
