Kabeire Laurence, an eight-year-old boy from Uganda, is the youngest of five children. He lives with his aunt and a bar attendant in Lingira Village. Having never attended school, Kabeire’s parents—who did not prioritize education—sent him to live with his aunt, where he spent his days running errands, cleaning the lodge, and helping at the bar.
When business was slow, even meals became uncertain. His aunt often had to borrow money from friends just to feed him and the bar attendant.
But thanks to Foundation Christian Schools, with support from the Five Loaves and Two Fish Foundation Ministries, Kabeire’s life has taken a brighter turn. He now attends school, is learning to read and write, and has found joy in making new friends his own age.
