Patricia is a 13-year-old girl from Bukabaale village in Uganda. She lives with her mother, stepfather, sister Angel, brother Godfrey, and three other siblings.
Patricia lost her father when she was just four years old. After his death, she and her siblings were left in the care of their paternal relatives. Unfortunately, the relatives refused to support them and told their mother to take full responsibility for the children. The only assistance they offered was a burial ground for their father.
Eventually, Patricia’s mother remarried a widower who already had over ten children of his own. Her stepfather is a peasant farmer and struggles to provide for such a large family. As a result, Patricia and her siblings lack access to many basic needs, including food, clothing, and education.
